How hiring works — 10 days, start to offer
Intro call — 30 min
With the hiring manager, not a recruiter. Both sides ask real questions.
Practical task
A real problem from our backlog, scoped to 3 hours. Paid if we use your work.
Team round
Half a day with the people you'd sit next to. Lunch is on us, opinions are yours.
Offer — in writing, fast
Clear number, clear role. We don't negotiate by silence.
The practical stuff
Salary on the 1st
Run on Segnol, obviously. Payslip on WhatsApp like everyone else at the group.
Health cover
Family floater for you, spouse, children and parents. No waiting period on joining.
Learning budget
₹40,000 a year for courses, books and conferences. Approved by your lead, not a committee.
Factory visits
Every engineer visits a customer plant once a quarter. You will watch your feature get used.
Common questions from candidates
Is this remote?+
No. We are in the Ahmedabad office five days a week, because our users are factories 20 minutes away and we visit them. We are honest about this up front rather than advertising flexibility we do not have.
I have no payroll or HR background. Does that matter?+
For engineering roles, no. Domain knowledge is teachable — we run an internal payroll bootcamp in your first fortnight. For the Payroll Domain Specialist and Implementation roles it is the main requirement.
How long does the process take?+
Ten working days from intro call to written offer, with a paid practical task in the middle. If we go quiet on you for more than three days, chase us — that is on us.
What is the practical task?+
A real problem from our backlog, scoped to about three hours. If we ship your work, we pay for it whether or not you join.
Send it to a person, not a portal
Every application is read by the hiring manager for that role. You will hear back either way — usually within three working days.
